Edmund

Hey Ya’ll
I just recieved news that Edmund is no longer a part of world vision, as a result he will no longer be our sponsored child. Our new sponsored child is an 8 year old girl from Ethiopia named Derartu Abaraya, I would like to suggest that we just call her Der (“Dare”), for people like me who have a hard enough time with names I am used to ;) . Her birthday is January 29, 2002; she lives with her parents and 2 sisters. She lives in an AIDS stricken community. Currently she is in primary school, enjoys foreign language, running errands at home, soccer, and is in satisfactory health.

I hope that Edmund is alright, and I think because of confidentiality reasons we are not allowed to directly get answers through World Vision. So If anyone would like to go to Congo to find out how he is doing that would be great :) . Please pray for Edmund and his family, and come check out the picture of Der that we have and pray for her and her family.

Movie Night Tonight

Since we’ve had to cancel our trip to Craigs Cruisers we decided instead we’d have a movie night for those of you brave (crazy?) enough to go out in this weather. Tonight @ 7 PM in the youth room (Rehoboth Reformed Church) join us for Christmas movies and pizza! We hope to see you there!

(If it’s bad outside, please stay home! Stay safe!)

Craigs Cruisers Cancelled! (Again)

Due to the weather we’re having to cancel our Craigs Cruisers trip. We’ll try again next time!

You’ll be contacted regarding the cancellation and if your interested in doing something tonight, we’re thinking of hosting a movie night. Stay tuned!

Craigs Cruisers Canceled

Due to low church involvement, Craigs Cruisers has canceled their weekend event. Sorry for the inconvenience. Everyone who has paid will receive a refund.

Hope you have a good weekend!

Announcements for week of Sept 27

Announcements with a twist! Check out all the videos at our “RRC Youth Impact” Facebook page!

We have a new Youth & Ed Director!

Jason Blaha has accepted the position of Director of Education & Youth at Rehoboth! That means you’ll be meeting Jason very soon. We’re not sure when he’s going to start, but we’ll let you know when we know!

Where Has Summer Gone?

I hate to say it, but this summer has FLOWN by! In about a month, school’s start up again as well as Youth Impact, which is our bi-weekly fellowship time during the school year.

Vacations, work, and daily life seemed to get in the way of holding many events during this summer, however I think a break was good and we’ll hit this fall full steam ahead! I think we’re going to have an exciting year ahead of us. We have Genesis, retreat, a mission trip, and more planned for this next year! Keep visiting here for updated information.

Until next time…

It’s Youth Sunday!

This Sunday (May 17) will be the Sunday that the youth lead the service! The service starts at 9:30 a.m. and everyone who has a part in the service is going to meet in the youth room at 8:45 a.m.

If you have joined us before, we would love to have you with us this Sunday. You wouldn’t even have to do anything! Just be there for moral support. :)
